The surest car: Qashqai
The last results Euro N-CAP put forward excel it behaviour with the crash landing-test of the crossover Qashqai. This car of 1311 kg posts a result of protection of the adult occupants of 36,83 points out of the 37 possible ones. In fact, it garnered the maximum of points to the side shock and the pole-test. The only flat comes from the frontal shock which can cause some light lesions with the chest of the driver. For the remainder, the double pretensionnor of the belts allows to keep the femurs and the knees far from the dashboard at the time of a shock of face.
In addition to its 5 stars for the protection of the adults, Qashqai collected 4 stars out of 5 for the protection of the children on board. Euro N-CAP reproaches Nissan for not giving a clear signal on the setting not under tension of the airbag before and a lack of information of the anchors Isofix, attachment unit absent to the front one. For the protection of the pedestrians, Qashqai misses little the 3 stars, primarily because of the edges of the cap considered to be dangerous for the head and the children whereas the bumper avoids serious lesions with the legs.
Beautiful commercial success, Qashqai is thus shown, in spite of its style SUV, as being the surest car ever tested by the organization independent of automobile safety. According to Nissan, the majority of the purchasers of this model result from the segment C and 80% of them chose a transmission 2 wheels driving.
